The Firefly and the Frog was inspired by a friend’s love of frogs and her request for books for her baby shower. It was also inspired by a video I saw of a frog who’d swallowed a firefly. It was so magical how the firefly lit up in the frog’s belly!

Just like the frog in this story, we all need to realize that we all have a glow inside of us. Sometimes, it takes a special person or “creature” who believes in us to realize it. So go on and let your inner light (and encourage your kids early on to let their inner light) shine brightly and boldly!
